Wtricks.com - Your friendly webmaster community

There is no limit to what you can do, if you're really passionate about it!

Wtricks was started as a webmaster forum in 2004. First on a free hosted subdomain and then on the domain we're still using today. We pride ourselves with some top notch members, people who understood that, even if it's business in the end, we can still be friends. You'll be able to enjoy some serious conversation, pleasant chit-chat, when you need to just relax and a lot of poeple who are here to share the same passion as you: web design and development.

What should you expect "inside"?

  • a close-knit community of people who are web designers or aspire to this
  • very young people and mature members too. Talent and passion don't care for age, why should we?
  • original articles and tutorials created by us in the past years
  • a lot of topics on almost anything you can think of when it comes to the WWW
  • relaxed members who know how to support you when you need it
  • the chance to discuss about your projects, find help and promote your work

You can take a look at the list in the left to see all our categories being listed. And now, if you already know about our community, COME ON IN!

Who's behind it?

First of all, there's an entire team of moderators who have donated a lot of their time for this community. I won't be able to thank them enough. We are talking here YEARS of support.

And then .. there's me: Dojo

My real name is Ramona Iftode. Right now I am over 30 and have worked as a radio DJ for a decade. You won't hear me bragging about my web design studies and diplomas, since I have none. Started the "journey" in 2002 with a karate site, not knowing anything. One of my friends showed me how to upload the files I'd "design" in FrontPage.

Since there was no web design course in my country, I had to learn by doing and reading hundreds of articles. Was an avid forum poster in many webmaster communities and you can still recognize me by the nickname I have chosen.

I can speak of passion and hard work. That was my secret to get from not knowing anything about web design, to build this wonderful community, many other sites and be able to live from my web related work as we speak. My radio job was gone in the summer of 2009, so I was forced to go to fulltime freelancing and running my very small business, Dojo Design. This explains my absense on the forums for the past months, having to work for 12-14 hours a day to be able to pay for all the bills and consolidate a serious portfolio.

This would be my story which proves one thing, if you really love what you are doing, there's no limits to what you can achieve. I am now living my own dream (to be self-employed and seeing already success), work a lot and enjoy every minute of it.
